Look At The Moon

She looks at the sky
While holding my hand
And with the most innocent face
"Look at the moon!" she says
Her eyes stuck at the pseudo star
For she always considered, moon to be ours
I lift my chin and tilt my eyes
The empty sky is filled with light
The moon just rises and rises through the mountains
"Look at the moon!" she says again
I never quite understood her obsession
It's just a reflecting space rock I wondered
But that night was different
That night was magical
I looked into her eyes, mysterious, like black holes
Swallowing the Moon
Keeping it to themselves
She looked at it as if she belonged there
As if she bought the sky
As if the moon was hers
I couldn't say anything at all
I was mesmerized, and I realized
Her love for her moon was infinite
I lifted my eyes one more time
This time I understood her obsession
This time I could feel her smile
This time the moon was there, only twice as bright
And I couldn't help myself, I just smiled
At that moment, I was just overjoyed
And randomly, without thinking
"Look at the moon!" I cried.
