Dear Mummy Ji,

Unlike your other friends, this is as far as my creativity goes. And I seem to love writing letters for people who carry extreme importance in my life. And here’s one for you. Sorry for being so late in writing one for you but you know sometimes, you take people for granted so much that you can’t imagine them being away from you. If it weren’t for this lockdown, I would’ve found one way or another to meet you once or twice every week. Pizza dates are something people can’t really deny. And I can’t imagine we’ll be off to our colleges soon. I would like you to know that I’ll always remember the first girl who approached me while I stood in the shade underneath that tree in my signature spot during that games period and asked me “Tu khelta kyu nahi?”. I can’t tell you how heartwarming it felt. You’ve been a significant reason why I came to fall in love with this school. And as much as we deny it, it’s going to hurt when we leave. I won’t stop messaging you though. Still need Aashirwad from Mummy ji. These three years have been wonderful. And I don’t think I would find another person who would go “Aurrrrr Brooooo Kaisaaaaa Haiiiii” while fist-bumping me at 7 AM on a Monday morning. I seriously need the secret for this much enthusiasm and energy. I love you Rachita Bro. And that Pizza date is something I look forward to. So if it is possible in the future, when you reread this letter trying to remember some fat guy from school ( Just kidding, I won’t let you forget me), could we meet again for one more Pizza date? Until then, Adios! And I wish you a very Happy Quarantine Birthday! Love you, Durga Maa!

Yours Lovingly

Karan
